The sensitive period for movement happens from birth to four years. In this phase, children enjoy exploring their surroundings by crawling, walking, and using their hands to touch and feel. Another sensitive period is for order, which happens between two and six years. During this time, children like routines and feel secure in an organized environment.
As parents and teachers, we play an important role in making the most of these periods. Providing a language-rich environment, letting children explore freely, and creating routines can help them thrive.
